Controlled inflow control screens (AICDs)
Direct-wire-wrapped slotted well screens equipped with inflow control devices (ICDs), which are designed for conformance control (inflow control) in the well.
The design of this screen includes a reclosable sleeve that is responsible for blocking the screen's intake openings in case of a water breakthrough (in order to completely seal off the interval in which the screen is installed, or during hydraulic fracturing or bottomhole zone treatment).
Advantages:
- Possibility of RIH with rotation and maintaining high rotational loads.
- Zonal seal-off of non-producing intervals in a horizontal well.
- Selective shut-off of unwanted fluids.
