Hydraulic fracturing
with dissolvable collar
cementing systems

Today one of the problems encountered when completing wells for MSF (or wells with screens installed as part of the casing) with collar cementing is the need to perform reaming jobs in pump-down plugs, cementing collar assemblies, and the anti-cuttings tool.

This job is performed by workover crews from a small-sized hoist with a milling cutter and a low-power downhole motor. The reaming operation may take from 40 to 72 hours, which is often too long for the Customer. To solve this problem, Naberezhnye Chelny Pipe Plant LLC is actively introducing a well completion technology with dissolvable inner assemblies.

Dissolvable assemblies are made of a magnesium alloy, the precise formulation of which is custom-made depending on specific downhole conditions (reservoir temperature, completion fluid) and the Customer's requirements for the dissolution rate.

Inner elements of dissolvable equipment are arranged in such a way as to achieve tightness during operations and the required dissolution rate downhole, which results in significant savings for the Customer when bringing the well into production.

Advantages:

  • The overall dimensions of the equipment remain unchanged.
  • Time saving since no reaming jobs are required and stable production is achieved quicker.
  • No unmilled cuttings or equipment elements are left downhole.
